Hope all have had a great holiday break and are looking forward to the New Year. Well its time for HOT Soccer registration for Spring 2009. This season Coach Morrison will not be returning as coach and his son, Ben Morrison, is now playing for Waco Blast. I have enjoyed coaching as assistant coach and look forward to continue coaching the team.

I have been looking for recruits to sign up for this season, and if you know of anyone that has a love for the game and wants to play, please let them know. Our team number is (HOT00473) for those wanting placement on our team.

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone return and ready to play. If you haven’t been practicing yet you need to get out and juggle the ball at least 10 minutes a day. See you soon.

HOT Soccer Spring Registration

HOT Spring Registration is underway. Please see the Heart of Texas Soccer link for registation. The form for registration for the Spring 2009 season is online in the forms section.The last day for registration without being charged a late fee will be Jan 10, 2009.Walk in registration on the 10th will occur at the HOT FIELDS from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Midway Out of Time Against Waco Blast

Midway Panthers matched select team Waco Blast in the first half with a one to one score. Then early in the second half Waco Blast scored and the Panthers made several attempts to answer back, even bouncing one off the corner post. Waco Blast would go on to win two to one.

7th Grade Midway Panthers Soccer Defeats the Waco Tigers

With temperatures falling into the 40’s and with 15 mile an hour winds from the north makes for dedicated soccer players and fans. The 7th grade Panthers in the first half scored one against the Waco Tigers. Then in the second half, in an effort to keep warm, the Midway Panthers turned up the heat and went on to score two more goals. The Waco Tigers played hard, but were unable to fend off the vicious Panthers with a final score of 3 to 0.

Coed Soccer Games

Okay all you soccer players, young and old, here we go. The coed soccer games are starting back up. We will be meeting Saturdays at noon across from the Heart Of Texas soccer complex. The games are pickup and very informal. Bring your game on attitude and have fun.
